Congratulations to the European Space Agency

The Huygen’s probe has successfully landed on the surface of the Saturnian moon of Titan.

Following the loss of the Beagle 2 lander on Mars last year, this is no doubt a big reason to celebrate. As if that weren’t enough, the ESA has now set a new record having landed a probe on the surface of an alien world that is farther away than any other lander mankind has put down.

We’re still waiting for all the science data to make its way back to Earth, but the days of Titan’s secrets are now numbered. 🙂
