Planet or Brown Dwarf?

Just decide on a definition for Planet already.

I’ve personally been of the mind that Jupiter itself is a brown-dwarf. Perhaps a mini-dward by comparison to the larger objects officially classified as such. But it seems to me that Jupiter had the beginings of a star and never quite achieved critical mass.

And why can’t an object be both a planet and a brown dwarf?

There are planet-sized moons in our solar system afterall.
